Hi all....have a few urgent questions which prevent me from progressing in the game.

1) I can't get through a door in the catacombs - lower keep which requires a glyph. I killed all the Freth Drow and got the Staff of Sunlight but didn't find any Word of Power. Am I missing something ?

2) Where is ...

I am now at the catacombs lower keep but there is a glyph outside the stairs which lead down. Problem is, I don't know the Word of Power for it !

Yes the idolons are used to exchange for rings at a large stone statue. It is located near the open area with the 3 dark nagas and near the Ear of Myth Drannor.

I've got about 10 of them and got pretty cool rings from them.

Yeah I just passed through those areas.
It seems the keys have to be found in order. Try and encounter fights in rooms nearby...I think that's where I got the key. Once you get one of the keys, you should have no problem getting the rest !

Not sure what the question is, but I think melee weapon means one that does direct damage and u need to stand beside an enemy.

A ranged weapon is one that will fire projectiles and can be fired from a distance.

A magical weapon would be like a wand or an item with charges that has to be invoked ...

Drow are very well-trained warriors. They are also great archers that can shoot point-blank ! Try to cast all preparatory spells before a known encounter.

For myself, my cleric would cast Prayer & Bless and possibly Aid. Then my 2 mages (personal one and Jarial) would cast protection from evil ...

Just make sure you COMPLETELY explore every part of the map. Ensure there are no "black" areas. The jail part is just to get some treasure and some stairs lead down for specific quests. Just keep looking and don't give up !

Just use the Rhonglyn to get to the Hall of Wizards...u will find the Room of Words there. The Rhonglyn is a pentagonal shaped room with five coloured gems in the middle. Clicking on the blue one allows you to get there. Good luck !
