Patch the game.....
I ran into the exact same problem and after a few hours i struck me to check the version of my game..... it was 1.6.0.4.......
I upgraded/patched to version 1.7.0.4, and everything works fine now.
I am by no means a computer-geek, so i hesitated a bit, when i saw in the READ ...
