I saw in the items database the Emperor Cuirass. It seems a pretty good item and I'm wondering if someone know if it's possible to find that cuirass and how.

Yes, 85 is the max armor you can reach in Oblivion. But if you have more in my opinion it isn't bad because you can forget for a long time to repair your gears

Yes your level is very important for drops. For example ( walktrough docet ) it's better to wait to open the ten chests in the Amanlu arena, also after Valdis quest. I founded two complete sets there at merc mode :)

Your level doesn't count for more drops but only to find high level ...

I was trying to grow up in melee skill with my combat mage using Lorethal full set but after one hour of playing .... HORROR ..... my strength growed up but my intelligenge was decreased from 170 to 168 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
