Try using Shadowkeeper to reduce the number of proficiency points your character has.

Assasain->Cleric (can't backstab anymore unless you actually manage to get thief HLAs in time)
I find Cleric types much better with Turning, but Ranger-> Cleric is lovely, and though I haven't tried it, Stalker->Cleric would be interesting too, with the extra spells. Shame that it can't backstab ...
