Well there is the old, uninstall completely and reinstall trick... It might be too magic like but being a skilled technological wizard, you should be able to manage :D
poster flattery aside, a second install might also work so long as you get a registry cleaner and uninstall the program afterwards ...

In my 130+ hours I've been able to disarm one guy, in the arena.Knockdowns happen at an ok rate, and I paralyze about half the people I try, which is everyone I fight.
Still, considering my blade at 100, my strength at 120, and my agil at 65 or so I wanna knock them down everytime.

A number of us have complained about immersion and I'd like to hop on that boat. As Denethorn points out, graphics aren't what it's about. The main cause for me is that it never feels like any quest you do has any effect of the overall world at all. There's a major lack of consequences and ...

Try searching to the south and east of Skingrad, you'll find tons of redwort flowers and a few dragon's toothes, but apparently something's buggy about the quest, b/c when I did it he took the 20 redwort and 6 dragon's tongue, which was all I had, and said good job you're back in. I did happen to be ...

I'm a frequent poster over on that other thread, and my guess is that this one was created to remind every one that Oblivion is a good game.
It's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture when nitpicking at all the flaws.
So my vote for the positives begins with the combat system. It's tough to do ...

I found a doomstone somewhere around chorrol, it gave me June's Shadow, Invisibility 120 secs on self and fortify athletics, acrobatics and sneak 40 points each for 120 secs once per day.
can't tell you how many times that came in handy :mischief:

For once I agree Fable, enough.
I'll never convince you that the 360 is worth your time, you'll never convince me it's worth less than it's component hardware.
Let's just say, for the sake of argument, that we're both fanboys of sorts, and we won't ever see eye to eye on this one.
That being said ...

Sanguine Quest (spolier)

exactly what does the Sanguine Rose actually do? I'm not much of an alteration, illusion, mysticism type, so I don't recognize the spell.

you could also buy it you know, or for something more creative engage a legonnaire (that is talk to him) with a big creature nearby, like a spriggan or a black bear. If the creature kills him, you then finish off the creature and nab his armor, free of murder charges. It's equivalent to steel armor ...

nope, that's just the way it is. Sometimes it seems way over done too, like not finding a complete unenchanted set of Daedric armor at lvl 27. Furthermore there are weakened versions of quest weapons and such.

The future of modding on the 360 is uncertain, unfortunately. Microsoft has continued to promise add on player created content, but has yet to deliver.

no, you see you ignored my post.
Oblivion is only out on the 360 and PC, not any other consoles, and as I said, the 360 as a gaming platform is more powerfull than probably 80% of the systems out there.
I agree that that has happened, in the past. But now with the console technology catching up and ...

Dude what are you talking about?
There would be no reason to dumbdown a game for the Xbox, especially now considering that the 360's processing power rivals high ends pcs.
The primary motive for dumbing down pc games for consoles (other than processing power) is to make the control workable, but as ...

yeah, the MQ is really quite short, too much for comfort IMO. I purposely spread it out a great deal so it took me nigh three weeks, but I concur with the other posters, it could be done in about a day.

yeah I found it in Cadlew Chapel :)
But still I don't know what it does. I'm hard pressed to say it's a quest item because it's part of the alchemy tab, and though I haven't tried, presumably it could be used at any time.
