Elminster and Volo

Are these guys in BGII/TOB at all? Does anyone know their stats?

I heard somewhere that Elminster was a 40th level mage. I would like to try taking him down.

RE dual-wielding: Remember also that the characters make only 4 swings every 6 seconds. Unless of course they're whrlwinding, but being the fighter's equivalent of a 10th level mage spell that is obviously put forward as being the result of extensive practice.

RE AD&D rules I agree dual-wielding mdium/large swords should not be done. But RE realistic practicalities dual-wielding two medium swords would be no problem at all. I have tried it - it is easy. (I do Escrima).

Kensai AC -12

Easy - give him/her a few magical items, good dexterity, and cast spirit armour (whichs lasts ages anyway). Kensai can be pretty much untouchable.

Mine had Ring of Gaxx AC-2, Katana with AC-1, Ioun stone AC-1, Earth Elemental Ring AC-1, Cloak of Protection AC-2. And Deterity 19 (he was an elf).
