I'm not sur, but it seems the Holy Avenger dispels only when it deals damage... I might be wrong, though. Feel fre to correct me :D

Uhm, never taken Anomen. does he level up as a fighter or cleric?

Imoen is good, though. Just what I need for opening things and disarming traps... I'm not well versed in trap overkill so I don't need a high-lev thief, I prefer to wade in and kick everything that moves (sometimes even things that ...

Another TOB Romance question...

Uh... folks? So-sorry t-to ask, but...I..*ehm*...I have a question to ask about romancing in Throne of Bhaal
*immediately ducks and runs for cover* :D

Well, problem is: I got the first dialogue for Viccy (the one that states "I want to stay with you even if it's pointless because of Lolth" etc ...

Point taken. I admit I made bad examples, but I'd still put up with single-classed chars. I agree with you that a fighter/cleric or whatever is more interesting to play and adds variety to the game, but I find it useful having a group of chars in which everyone reaches the peak in what they do. It's ...

My party on Bg2 (now it's storming through ToB ;) )
- PC: Silverfist, 19th level monk, L/G (main tank)
- Keldorn (support tank and Carsomyr's extension)
- Edwin
- Jaheira (I'm considering to ditch her - any suggestions?)
- Imoen (good backup for magic and trap detecting)
- Viconia (kickass cleric ...

I must say, the combination of ending the Viconia romance and facing Irenicus. I got the final dialogue (the "I love you but I must leave or you'll get hurt") seconds before descending down to the Tree of Life...

"Viconia, I..." ... just great. I imagined the guy hitting down hard on bloody ...

Try this:
it works MUCH better in enclosed spaces, the smaller the better, and with pure fighters.
-Cast Limited Wish
-Choose the horde to overrun the enemy
-While the fighters are blocked by the rabbits and can't reach you, FIRE AWAY :D

What's the deal about dual and multiclass?

After reading a lot of best-class-related topics I found almost everyone in this board going for dual and multiclass character.
I must say, I disagree with all you folks :)
For instance, try the monk: at high level is a butt-kicking machine. Lots of attacks, packing a heavy punch (esp. if you max ...

I had a 13th-level Earth Cleric in a Dark Sun Campaign. Insofar, along with my 23-th level D&D wizard (known for having constructed a 18-mt-tall Iron Golem who emerged from a square pool and a suit of armor who could shapechange into 3 different forms with different powers -duh!-) he's the only one ...

I don't see the point in denying romances to dwarf PC's. Why, doesn't the fair Lady Irlana (a human knight) marry the gnome Cyrlando? If so, why not the poor PC? Seems that even being a god doesn't give you the easy way with girls if you're ugly :D :D

I'm not 100% sure, but the type of familiar you summon depends on your alignment. I had a cat (chaotic neutral) who was an excellent scout (90% hide in shadows and move silently) and could pickpocket things, and a fairy dragon (chaotic good) who could cast a couple useful spells (invisibility 15 ...

Thanks... the only thing I regret now is that I imported my last savegame. I'm afraid I've lost all the nice eye bonuses, do I? ;)
Well, to hell with the bonuses. After all, my main is a monk... he DOES have a stunningly low AC and WILL BE immune to normal weapons :D

I agree with Xyx: dear Viccy's *permanent* demise was handled in quite a lame way. Assuming that by the end of TOB the main char has reached maximum level, which packs a tremendous punch in terms of sheer power, and MORE IMPORTANTLY has made a lot of friends in high places (no bhaalchild-pun ...
