That all depends on whether you roleplay or not. If you do, does it match your alignment? I'd say, unless you're evil, it does not. If you don't roleplay, then who cares ...

Well done, Riverwind. However, I would rate the Stalker/Cleric at an A, as opposed to your rating of A-.

[EDIT] Could you imagine how amazing the Stalker/Cleric AKA "Stealth Bomber" ;) would be if you could multiclass him/her? :D

When a scroll is used it is used at the current level of the user. (Read an Animate Dead scroll sometime when you are over 15th level)

Agreed. Thieves should not have the Scribe Scroll ability. That should have gone to the Mage or Bard ...

To answer your questions:

1. Longbows give a greater distance from enemy and deal more damage than shortbows. You can get the quiver of plenty on 1st loor of Watcher's Keep (go immediately) for unlimited +1 arrows.

2. Yes. WW and GWW do apply to missile weapons. And may I reccomend Critical Strike ...

The problem you face here, my friend, is that you are trying to DC to an invalid MC option. You tried to DC a ranger-mage.

Here are the valid MC options:

fighter-thief
fighter-mage
mage-thief
fighter-cleric
cleric-thief
mage-cleric
cleric-ranger (!!!)
fighter-druid
fighter-mage-thief
fighter-mage ...

Though I agree with all the finer points posted about shortbows, I still prefer the longbow for range.

I've tested my theory about this and it is right on the mark. You can shoot a longbow from a much greater distance than you can a shortbow. Which will just about even out the number of attacks ...

Right you are. Now imagine the incredible power (cheese) of a party consisting of 6 Bards. Let's say, 4 Skalds and 2 Blades (they can't all sing at the same time - jeez! ;) ).

Let's see now, bearing in mind that Bard Songs ARE cumulative, that's -16 AC, +16 to hit, +16 to damage, 20% magic res ...

I have done what you are about to do, and belive me it is even harder than it sounds.

I role-played a CN fighter/thief and a LG ranger/cleric duo, multi-player party through BG2 once. It was a lot of fun, but very hard for both PCs to stay true to their nature.

Example:

Theif (Penumbriis) wanted ...
