Alright, can somebody plz tell me how spell penetration works exactly. I know what it does from the discription but i dont see all that much change. Also i know its good for wizards but what about clerics, does it count for them 2?

I don't know what the big deal is here, its simple:

Before the attack you can find swift thomas in front of the barracks where the commander of the guard (shaford crale) is stationed.

After the battle you can find him at the destoyed gate of the palisade, next to some standerd soldiers.

There are plenty more spells out there that are usefull, almost the entire enchantment school rules (improved command, improved domination,dire charm, malison, emotion:despair,etc) and many more from other schools.

Obvious bad programming if you ask me.

Is it me or does that simply mean good char, rest of the stats s*ck
HE/she can talk,do minor spells,sing but is weak in meele combat, i dont see the real use of a bard compared to a sorcerrer.

What you say is true, skull trap is idd a nice subsitute for fireball and with evo as your opposition class you do idd have a challenge at hand but it will allow you to get to know some other spells a bit more that might be worth it aswell, keep me updated on what spells you find usefull if possible.

I am just curious, how did you distribute your bard stats, i never use bards because no matter what race i chose, i never have decent stats.

I understand what you mean but it does not really matter, ID2 doesnt take alignment into account all that much,only a few times.

Yes id2=iwd2, u just use the short version and magic missile is only one spell from the evocation class, i used it as an example because i think it is the only usefull lvl1 spell later in the game beside chromatic orb (wich is also evocation)

I just wanna say this: never ever take armored arcana, it s*cks like you wouldn't believe and there is another reason wich you will find out for yourself if you just continue through the game.

Don't worry! After you have killed ALL and i do mean ALL enemies within the ice tempel you can go tell the altar that "there is no-one left to feed him", you get less xp but its the same result.

On another note:it is impossible to change your alignment during the game.
