You made a Bramble armour? Where on earth did you get the runes from, it requires Ral, Ohm, Sur, Eth. Ohm and Sur are very high level runes that can only be found at Hell difficulty and even so, very, very rarely. Did you trade for the runes?

Thanks for the spot on help. Yeah, its a bummer that I lost a couple of set items and some other stuff, but whatever. I had a blast with the cows last night. I've waited since D I to go through the cows. Unfortunately, a power outage cut it short taking a Bramble armor I had made away. I'd like a ...

Thanks for the help!

I did start a normal game, and panicked as I started up in the Rouge's Camp again instead of Harrogath. I had to start Family Time so I didn't check out the situation completely.

Unsaving a Game

I just finished playing through LoD for the first time (I was deep into NWN when DII first hit, and only loaded it up a couple of weeks ago out of sheer boredom).

Silly me walked through the portal that Tyriel opens up after I whacked Baal, not realizing that that would trigger the final ending of ...

Yeah, an honest and thorough game nets a party of six about 6 mil and change in xps. Something like 6.2 or so. That includes cheeseballing any and all spawning points, to the limits of reason of course.
The xp total for each of my parties (4 in total, various rigs) all wound up with around this ...

T'lainya, thanks for the info. I have used both of the mappers in the Core Rules. They are nice DM tools. Plenty of options.
I will look into Arcanum. We've heard some sour things about that game. Not to mention the sour things we've been hearing about the upcoming Master Tools. Hopefully they will ...

Game Visualization Aid Questions

One of a gamemaster's most important jobs is to draw the players into the game as much as possible, without blurring the line but so much. We have all tried various props. Paper bag maps, music, real antiques, whatever. I have stumbled onto a prop device that looks very promising.

Recently, I've ...

Endless river of money? Gather round all, and I'll tell you how that's done.

This is a cute little quirk discovered quite by accident. While in the Sahuagin city, accept the King's job of whacking the Prince. Oh dang. Spoilers. Duh.

Anyways, after doing all of that stuff but before returning to ...

In the Asylum, there is a "guest" named Dradeel, or something like that. If memory serves, Jan initiates a dialouge with him. If you keep pumping for dialog, he will eventually give you a recipe scroll that makes some kind of fruity, nutty, sweet things. I've been meaning to make up a batch one of ...

I never would have thought to call it "unethical." Hey, I still don't think its "unethical." What does ethics have to do with it? It's a game. I mean it's not like we are talking about the philosophical "goodness" of a particular reply to the Solar or anything. Exploitation maybe, but odd? No way ...

How to reach the x.p. cap with a full party

In all of the parts of the BG series, I never experienced a problem reaching the cap. Then came ToB with its 8 mil cap. At first I thought, "must be plenty of game." Well, we won't go into that disappointment. After two times through with a full party, I found that I was winding up with about 6 mil ...

A siangham (or siangkam) looks like a metal arrow with a handle instead of feathers. They are about a foot and a half long. They are normally used for thrusting attacks, but can slash or parry.

As I understand things, siangham came from Malaysia, and are used in a fighting style called Kuntao ...

Hey Xyx, I hope this helps.

As I understand it, unless you have the Feat Spring Attack, you can only move once if you attack. This move can be before or after you attack, but if it comes after, you run the risk of provoking an Attack of Opportunity as you are leaving a threatened square. You can ...

We have struggled with the attacks of opportunity thing as well. Most of the time, using a missle weapon or casting a spell right next to an enemy will provoke an attack. There are exceptions of course. Casting on the defensive for example. A five foot step never provokes, I think. Either bull ...

What is PnP? It's the real deal. It is what all of these CRPGs we play try to duplicate.
It's not that confusing if you are semi-organized. Our group uses a simple tracking sheet and a vinyl mat with lead figs to run combats involving upwards of 30 participants. As long as everyone is reasonably on ...

We came up with an interesting one that turned out to bea challenge to run. Everyone has heard of the movie "Rain Man." We changed it up a bit and had an NPC who was a savant in weather related magic. He even looked like Dustin Hoffman. The NPC had viciously low Int and Wis scores, but any type of ...

Ivan, I believe that the "exploding thing" is definately related to the Slayer transformation. I did not experience this effect at any time before my protag first willingly transformed into the Slayer. I think that Metatron is right. The explosion that I have been (and continue to experience ...

I have been dealing with a similar problem with one of my groups. The "exploding" bit looks like the Celestial Fury effect right? As far as I can tell, and from the feedback received from posts on this exact subject, its just a bug. Though I thought that the effect had once damaged a party member. I ...

It is definately not a Comet, or a catapult shot or anything like that. I recently completed the game with a good protag, and never exploded.
