Nope incorporeal opponents have a chance to evade all weapons regardless of their bonus and cannot be harmed by anything thats not at least +1.

1. Rolls are random, but sometimes they apear to be jacked, it happens.

2. Most casters have level 2 spells that increase stats, cats grace, bull strength etc.

3. Incorporeal opponents like shadows and wraiths have a chance to evade attacks and cannot be harmed by anything thats less then +1 ...

I never used buff spells besides haste, the disable spells are a much much much much more useful then the buffs, hold person works well against most orogs except obviously their spell casters, and guardsmen/veterans. Web works well for that, but you need to be careful when using it or you can hurt ...

Online D&D groups exist mostly in mIRC channels, or forums, the prerequisites are generaly the ability to role play and basic know how of the D&D rules, usualy 3rd edition.

Other requirements vary based on the group you play with.

Yep thats the more exact location, i forgot a lot of the game, be careful, the orogs in that area are pretty strong, and theres a LOT of them.

The deep halls if i remeber right, he is captured by Orogs, you need to rescue him, the outside stages in the game are limited 80% of the game is a dungeon crawl.

No, i just dont open then, my Paladin and Mage for example didnt spend any points in dexterity, i didnt find it worth my wile to learn lockpicking and either

a. waste a lot of lockpicks untill i figure out the combo or
b. save load untill i figure it out.

Mages are pretty weak in the whole game i tend to multiclass them, usualy fighter/mage or cleric/mages does it for me, 5th level spells are useless in BG, yea i know cloudkill and a few other spells can be usefull, but you only get so many slots for 5th, plus fireball and magic misile are ...

Dont need lockpick to finish the game ive done it more then once with characters who didnt invest anything in Dexterity so i found it pointless to take lockpicking, i dont enjoy save/loading 5 times over just so i can open a chest.

Despite the bugs and limitations i love the game, i can claim proudly that i finished it with no patches or a speed utility, dont need them, only a LOT of patience and spare time.

As a general, caves are very dangerous to go into without a set of armor and a better weapon, even the ones early on can have some nasty monsters that you arent ready for, or some run away bandits who wont mind mugging you for a few extra coins.

Heavy Spoiler Warning



The blue balls contain a spirit which you can release later on once you complete the drow dungeon, they allow you to use spinning pillars like the one you see at the start of the game to travel instantly around myth drannor. You need to release 3 or so of then.
