I'm surprised that the trigger for Carth's quest happens on Manaan, since I think the guy who tells him about Dustil says that he's working for Czerka corp, so I suspected that he'd only turn up on Tatooine and pre-insurrection Kashyyyk.

I've never had to do it, but if you have the security (or possibly open) command highlighed, press up or down to get bash. Actually, I think I had to do it once using Jolee to bust everyone out of the Leviathan.

We're only told that Dantooine was attacked and the academy destroyed, and it's unlikely that Saul was going to admit that "Oh, actually, all those jedi with their hightened sense of awareness and superhuman combat skills actually managed to get off the planet with little trouble, except for a few ...

The well dressed jedi - robes and where to find them

I'm fed up of having my style cramped by the limitations of the robes that you come across in-game. My character looks spiffing in the blue jedi robe, but I've only ever come across one (on Dantooine) and it soon becomes obsolete with master robes etc. Bastilla looks her finest in the red robe that ...

Um, not especially. There's plenty of better ways to get loot than selling rather boring +1 or +2 bog-standard stuff.

I think you may need to be a little more specific here. If it's the one I'm thinking about, where a bunch of Harper hunters track you and Jaheira down and you have the chance to reveal that you're a Bhaalspawn, then it's definately possible to avoid the conflict. It may however have something to do ...

Need help with Edwin variables

Let's hurry things along here, shall we?

So, I'm playing through BG2 for the... well, billionth time, probably, and I want to finally play Edwin's Nether Scroll bits through to the end. Problem is, he's taking far too long about it and I want to get it all finished before I get on with anything ...

Left my kit back in Athkatla!

Oh, the convenience of that bedroom back in my thieves guild. I seem to have left the Watcher's keep wardstone there, and am now trapped in ToB, unable to go back for it. What do I need to type into the console to get it back?

Rapiers are considered to be small weapons since they're so light, which makes them great off-hand weapons for large characters. You also get the benefits of the Weapon Finesse feat.

I don't think you get it if you continue the game straight through from SoA, just if you pressed "new game" in the ToB menu.

Overall, Bg2/ToB pips it... but only just. The locations and map system in Bg2 is just too stifling; the only places you can go (bar a couple of minor examples) are places you'll NEED to go. I desperately wanted to go around Athkatla idly robbing various houses. When I went off to find the De'Arnise ...

Yes, but there's the rub, see. The market is only smaller because the population is smaller. Proportionally, the games-playing sectors of the US and UK populations are pretty much the same, and for the rest of the developed world as well.

I'm about to swear now. If you are under 18, easily offended ...

Why aren't I playing NWN?

I'll tell you why. I don't live in the USA. It seems that some people consider me, because of this, to be a lower class of person. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but Neverwinter Nights was designed by a Canadian company, and published (and this really cuts) by a French company. Yet France, Britain and ...
