After killing the guardian demon in the puzzle room, the portal that's supposed to appear doesn't. Is there something that I missed?

NWN Hordes of the Underdark No Portal?
After killing the guardian Demon in the puzzle room, the portal that's supposed to appear doesn't. Is there something else I need to do?
