ok, here goes:
there are 2 types of protection spells on mages:
1: spell protections
2: combat protections
now, if you want to kill the mage with spells, you will have to remove his spell protections
if you want to kill the mage with swords or any other head banging stuff, you will have to remove ...

well, the only thing i know for sure: Anomen cannot become level 21 with exp cap.
his fighter levels prevent him from getting enough exp, so i'd say they are counted

hmm, when i read your post, i went to test it.
it is true, but the spell description says that if it is cast directly at the protected mage, it will be reflected. Another bug??
and another thing i found out: the minor spell turning spell has a bug too. In the spell decription it says that it will ...

ok, i have to be a bit more specific about the situation i guess :)
this is what i exactly did:
person (mazzy) with cloak of mirroring moved in the center of an area with no other creatures near (to be exact: just outside the dark cave in the underdark).
then i cast a symbol (stun, fear, death ...

i was testing the area of effect of these spells and i discovered something with the cloak of mirroring:
the cloak is only supposed to reflect spell DAMAGE back to the caster right?
well, guess what: the effects of the symbol death and stun are also reflected back !!
the symbol fear works properly ...

no, i just "assumed he is such a high level fighter for 2 reasons:
1: to be on the safe side (to just show, even if he is lev 20, you could still dual him and regain fighter abilities without removing exp cap)
2: the exp cap from SoA left us with 2.950.000 exp points.
a fighter with that many exp ...

ok, so lets say sarevok has 3 million exp in his fighter class when he joins you. thats level 20 fighter if im not mistaken.
then you dual him.
then you will need to get to level 20 mage in order to reactivate his fighter abilities.
i know a level 18 mage has 3 million exp.
so that will make about 6 ...

no, wrong hehe
1d6 + 2 means there is a 6-sided die rolled and then there is 2 added to the outcome.
But since it says: 0d6, there are 0 six-sided dice rolled and then there is 2 added.
that way the outcome will always be 2, no matter how hard you try to roll those 0 dice

When Valygar joined my party, he had a backstab multiplyer of 3.
He was level 9 back then
as i rmember correctly his multiplyer should be 2 at that level and change to 3 at level 17 or something (i dont remember the exact level)
no big deal i thought.
But now has valygar levelled up to lev 13 and ...
