Does anyone know about a unofficial expansion for Icewind Dale, just like The Darkest Day for BG2?? Can anyone tell me where to get more info?

Have just bought Icewind Dale HoW, but all my former characters from the game are deleted. Does anyone konw about some programs where I can create my own characters from scratch, giving them desired levels and so on??

Is it possible to import any of my characters from BG2 to Icewind Dale?

A lot of good moments in BGII, but the best one is finally getting out of the Underdark, having spent days and days below water and below ground. To see the sun and hear the birds.... Magnificent!
