I think this was proberbly trying to kill the spellcaster in the red dress in candlekeep in bg1 from who you get the identification scroll for firebeard. if you want to see some nice lighting show just atack him. by the way I was able to kill gorion and this resulted in a game over ...

turning undaed can be quite effective I played a cleric n(level 21) the firts time and she was capable of turning vampires in an instant. I just walked around in bodys lair and watched how pieces of undead were flying around. as said by kopywrite it doesnt work if you are preforming other actions.

I realy longswords and katanas. my mage is wielding 2 longswords and haer dalis 2 katanas. for clerics i like the flail of the ages and defender of easthaven. I realy dislike the 2 handed wapens other than the staffs. why? with 2 longswords I will do a lot more damage as with one 2 handed sword ...

I think no spell is realy bad, but I rarly use any spells from the divanation spell group. animal summuning is indeed not so good especialy with the 5 creatures limit (no abuse of simulacrum). the spells I use most are mefs minor meteors, fireball, chant, protected from evil 15 radius, sunfire ...

count me in too. I a huge fan of spellcasters. especialy xan from bg1 I realy like his sounds.

I always play with a 100% spellcaster team, they just rule.

I used the cloak of reflection on my main character (cleric). the beholders cant harm jou this way. the shield of balduren is usefull too since it deflects beholder rays
I have to admit that I had to resurect 1 of my party members (thougt it was imoen.)

I love spelcasters so this is my favorite team.

I wonder of anybody noticed that hear dalis is cappeble of wielding the dwarven trower?

halflings are even beter as gnomes tey have good saves against spells and against poison. a disatvantage is that they don't have great stengt there are a number of ways to improve this.

I am not the most people and i like Haer Dalis a lot. the maximum level of spells for bards is 6. as you will probebly know you can bypass the low intelligence with potions so you can have all spells. when Haer Dalis is level 16 he will be able to cast tensers transformation (double hitpoints and ...

I am playing a fighter/ilisionist
my favorite weapons 2 longswords (daystar and an other longsword)
but as Sparrowhawk stated katanas are really good too. the only reason why I am not using them with my main charachter is that Haer'Delis is using the katanas.
Staff of the Magi is a good weapon too ...
