Well they found it didnt count past -20. Someone else looked into the code and verified it. Seemed to all make sense so I believe it anyways.

Regarding those posts on AC-10 being enough....

THAC0 means "To Hit AC 0", in case you didnt know.

Therefore a creature with a THACO of 10 hits AC0 when they roll a 10, and hits AC-10 on a roll of 20.

A creature with a THACO of 5 hits a AC0 when rolling a 5, and AC-10 on a 15.

With a THACO of 0 ...

When I fought the shadow dragon I didnt have breach or lower resistance so his "protection from magic weapons" spell made him almost unbeatable. I finally won when I polymorphed him into a squirrel by fluke and waited for his protections to wear off. For some reason he could still wing buffet too ...

Also dont forget that camping and rememorizing is quite easy to do if you dont have the right spells for an encounter if you are playing a mage. The sorcerers ability to cast any spell in his repetoire at will is a non-ability.

He simply has less to choose from (though can cast an additional spell ...

No it doesnt. That was the only thing that would stop my ranger with a cloak of mirroring and ring of free action from single handedly taking out all the beholders in their underdark lair. (when charmed they dont attack him, just wears off eventually). It still worked just have to take out the ...

Yea my skald (bard) is fun to play. I have minsc tanked up perfectly so he wades though most encounters quite easily especially when I have my level 21 bard song going! (+4 to hit, -4 AC, immunities). Bards have many options, although dont do them as well as other classes that specialize. However ...

Deus Ex was not too short. I like a game that leaves me wanting more than a game that seems to drag on. And it did take 30 or so hours to finish so its not like you could do it in a few sessions.

Tank misnc with a mace of disruption and mace +3. With a ac-7 or so he will pound those golems into dust np. When I see golems the rest of the party sits back and I just march him right in there. 3 rounds tops per golem. With that ac they rarely hit unless im really unlucky. Actually with the cloak ...

I sit at home surfing the net and charge my clients for time I'm supposed to be using to complete their design/drafting projects (well if I worked as fast as I could I wouldnt make nearly as much money!) http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I do feel bad as I have a very strong work ethic ...

I think the main advantage (If i remember my ad&d monster manual) of fire elementals was immunity to fire (I guess they would do fire damage too), earth elementals had raw damage, and air elementals were invisible.

From what I understand NWN isnt all online, you can play through the modules with your own parties. There are actually two types (or mabye 3 types) pure online that are stored in the main vault that are ok'ed official characters, server types that are saved on the server only, then I believe theres ...

I would say the Shade dragon, took me ton of tries and checking these boards but I never resorted to the cheesey cheating ways (cloudkill, traps). Unfortunately I didnt have a breach spell or equivalent in my party so I couldnt dispell his prot. from magic weapons spell. The way I finally won is ...
