Just wanted to point out the following (put it in spoiler tags, even though this thread is about the walkthrough):

Khelgar's releveling as a monks seems to have been fixed. As was revealed in the spoiler part of Khelgar's entry on his character page, I relevelled him at 16 and was unpleasantly ...

I use it by selecting my thief, moving him/her over to the victim, then rightclick on the victim and select sleight of hand from the radial menu. This works for me.
