Star Wars: KOTOR II Lands on GOG With More LucasArts Titles

A new wave of LucasArts titles hit GOG today, including Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords, Obsidian's divisive sequel to BioWare's celebrated title, seen by some as a more mature, refined and sophisticated tales, and by others as an unfinished bastardization of the Star Wars universe. While I've never quite felt the title's story was a perfect fit for the tone of the Star Wars universe, I still would argue that it's a fascinating game that is, at the very least, well worth a playthrough, especially now that a fairly polished Restoration mod for it is easily available, which should help smoothing the title's well-known rough edges.

In addition to Obsidian's title, this second wave of LucasArts classics saw GOG releases such as Star Wars: X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter, Star Wars: XWing Alliance, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga, Star Wars: Battlefront II, and Star Wars: Dark Forces.

A strong offering for fans of retro gaming, and there's apparently more to look forward in the future:
