| | | (Chapter2) how to get a recommendation for the dwarven blacksmith? These guys say they will only work for friends or kin, and I don't have any chat options that would let me get a recommendation from my dwarven friends in the city. |

| | | I am actually quite a bit perplexed by this myself, as I sometimes could use the dwarven smiths and other times the order (despite them not liking me much).
My immediate thought is that helping Vivaldi out helps, also that dwarf friend (name eludes me right now), and also a dwarf named Boyus or something - talking to him might help you.
But I never actually found the complete mechanics for those smiths. At one point they wouldn't help me, at other times they did want to.
If the dwarves can't help, try the Order smith instead. (near the stairs down to the slums) |

| | You do not get a dialogue option.
Just "suddenly" they like you, or they do not.
As I've said - I've not found the systematics of it, so I can't help you outside this vague (useless) advice |

| | | Unless you been doing missions for the order chat with zoltan a bit and the dwarves will sell to you. Note the dwarves offer the exact same options as the order merchants. |

| | | A few spoilers,But worth It Hi all,Love the Witcher AWSUMMM game,i got my recommendation by saving a she elf female i think near the dyke in a hut,bit hazey as i do a lot of opening door's and looking in a lot of area's ,i've upgraded to a 8800gt 2 gig ddr2 ram and amd athlon 600+ cpu Just for this game, was time for an upgrade anyways, thing's i've noticed combat unless you have the right sword/stance for what /who your fighting he looks like a drunk on 12 bottles of beer,no idea what he's doing, get the right stance/weapon and look OUT!!, he's a killing machine....Also dice gambeling is the key i think to buying what you want and still keeping $2000 gold in the purse.I'm no expert but think this is THE RPG what ever label you wanna put on it of the year,o i like to fist fight to,a lil gold here and there helps.
But over all unreal game, been playing since space invaders, yeah 1980's man it's come a long way, feel free to say "HI" i'm Deep in act 2 at the swamp, and got 3 sword's one upgraded a heap of gear and $2000 in coin so i Think{ and i maybe wrong} i'm doing ok,Oh and BTW i've got one Lady card, from an elf female who i was trying to talk elvish to and she had sex with ME,Biatch LOL other wise i have attempeted to not have sex with every thing that moves, that's for second time around

| | At some moments in the game, you will have the decision to help the Order or the Scoia'tael. If you help the Order, The Order blacksmith will open for you. If you help the Scoia'tael, the other will.
...I think so |

| | | I had stopped the squirrels, which Haren then betrayed. When I ran into Vivaldi, the city guard was arresting him for his nephew being a Squirrel, I bailed Vivaldi out of jail and after proving his innocence in the investigation...he recommended me to dwarf smiths.
It was 20 orens cheaper than the order smith. |

| | | Yes, the dwarven smith sells you the lightning rod cheaper. The order smith gives you a higher price because he had to use Mahaklan (sp?) hammers which are rare finds for humans. All in all it evens out, since you have to bail Vivaldi out of jail.
(I find the dwarves to be cooler anyways.) |
