He's behind a door down by the southernmost Inn. You'll know you have the right building because the ***SPOILER***

Door is trapped and will turn you to stone if you don't disarm.

LOL! Yes, and we've even had people complain here that the game doesn't allow barbs or warriors to disarm traps and learn lockpicking. As though the developers owed it to 'em to make the their six-character CRPG world safe for single characters. :D

Note, I'm not saying that's the case in this thread. But it is amusing. ;)

RP wise: You may be soloing, but just as you employ the services of temples, stores and taverns; you can "contract" a thief, at least while in chapters 2, 3 and 6.
Go get Jan and imagine you are talking something like "Hello, fellow. I need you to perform a service for me. I, ehr, lost my key to a door and need it open"
Then you and your newly "contracted" thief go to the door you need de-trapped and opened. After the job is done imagine them having this conversation "how much I owe you for your services?" "no worries, sir, it is free of charge for a distinguished bhallspawn such as yourself". Dismiss the service provider and go on about your business :D

Or even better, give him a magical item to pay for it.
On of your spare short sword +2s or something...Good roleplaying and good karma...very bad soloing though... :)

A barbarian will have good enough saves that traps won't do much, except for maze and level drain  , those are so annoying if solo.

Exactly, uh, that's what I meant... :p You don't need to worry about traps when you solo barbarian(except in the beginning).

is barbie rage immune to maze and imprison? i have heard both sides...is minsc rage immune? once again i have heard both sides....

here is a cheesy trick....(me cheesy? that is base libel!!!!!!!!!!!)

all the locked and trapped doors like kangy, and twisted rune, can be opened by party with knock spell, it opens the door bypassing the spell, i have never tried with this door, but knock scrolls are plentiful, use potion swap to cast....should work...

hey, i wonder if wes would make a item to cast knock for soloers....

@User, twisted rune can be opened with knock? Are you sure? If I had known that earlier, then I wouldn't have went around searching for rogue stones. :D

I believe Minsc's berserk is the same as berserker's, which includes maze and imprisonment(protection from).
