either i'm doing something wrong or i'm just not doing it fast enough...
in the first chapter. the second level of Undermountain, when one should attach the chains 2 the pedestals and open the magically locked door. i cant seem 2 have it done. after i attached each chain 2 the right color i walk 2 the pull and watch and color combination. in my case : yellow-red-red-green-red-yellow. so i walk 2 each pedestal in the order mentioned above and pull the chain. nothing happens, but once in a while, a small red dragon emerges and gives me a very easy fight. even after i finished the color combination without having 2 fight the dragon, the door still wont open.
whatam i doing wrong???

Hmm, you apparently got the hang of the riddle, I can see that much.
Still, to make it 100% clear:
- Attach all chains
- be sure to have your sequence at 0
- "use" the main pool
- note the color sequence
- input the color sequence with the chains.
I think it's the second step that gives you problems. Not only must the chains be pulled in the right order, the whole apparatus must be at "idle" state when you start the sequence, meaning you have to start inputting the correct sequence right after the last failure - without pulling any other chains. (right after the dragon wyrmling appears)
So:
- click around the chains until that wyrmling (or whatever other monster it summons) pops up - then you know that you just have completed one full (but wrong) input sequence.
- THEN use the main pool again (you probably have to wait a bit until it reacts to your touch again).
- THEN input the new given sequence.
That should do the trick.
