Easy Gold Exploit

What you need: 25+ Health Potions, 25+ Will Potions, Guile 3+

Where you need to go: Bowerstone South, Oakvale, or any where with a trader (Oakvale works best from what I've seen).

Who you need to talk to: Any trader that sells potions.

What you need to do: It's really rather simple. Talk to a trader, buy all his potions (THIS IS ESSENTIAL), then sell all of your potions back to him. Buy them all back (using Buy Max), then sell them (using Sell Max).

How it works: The economic formula in the game is very simple. The more of an item a trader has, the less money he'll ask for it. When he has none of a certain item, he'll pay more for it. I'm not sure if this exploit works with items other than potions, but I've had a lot of success with them. You don't even need to quit talking to the trader, just keep selecting buy and then sell. I went from about 30k to over 100k in less than 10 minutes.

UPDATE: I did a little more experimentation, and I found that the more potions you have, the more cash you'll make. Buy out all the potions from every trader, then repeat the process.

Here's an easy way to make 2,000 gold:

In Bowerstone South, go to the bar and talk to the gambler.
He'll ask if you want to play pairs and ask how much you want to wager. Bet as much as you can, 2,000 gold.
Since it's timed, when you flip the first two cards over, Alt+Tab out of the game.
Write down what and where the cards were on the table, and continue to do this back and forth (because Alt+Tabbing out of the game pauses it, even in the middle of gambling).
Just be sure you do it quickly, because the time is still pretty short.

I was playing around with the buy/sell technique and found a much more efficient way of doing it.

Start with roughly 13000gp (easily done with a few quests) and head to Bowerstone North. The merchant there that sells black roses should have 40+ diamonds for sale at approximately 250-270gp per. When I went he had 49 diamonds for 265gp each.

I followed the potion idea, and in the time it took me to count to 30, I made over 100,000gp. If you took 10 minutes to trade potions back and forth, what might happen in 10 minutes of diamond trading?

It is fast enough that I have decided to see if your allowable coin maxes at 999,999.

Just a warning, if you try any exploits which involve you saving, and reloading hero saves continuously, I would recommend you stop, as after a certain number of attempts, your save file will become corrupted, and your game will crash if you try to load it. Careful

Of course there are stacks of exploits. And if you want to make even more money doing the selling trick, leave the trader with I think 42, as until then everything is minimum price, after that it increases.

However when you have stacks of money, you can buy everything, and the game becomes less challenging. Just a note of warning to you guys.

Well I just tried the selling trick but it doesn't look like it's working for me. I bought every potion between bowerstone and oakvale with guile 5, and went for oakvale to do my business. I have like 65 of each potion, but when i m buying potion they cost around 108 and when i want to sell them back (the guy is then empty of potion) i can only sell for 70. What am I doing wrong? I need the gold to stay young(temple of avo), so i'm kinda stuck at the archeologist until I find a good way to get the money in

Edit : I now have max guile and the prices won't move. I wonder what's going on, the vendors offer the same price as the one they offered me with 4 guile, and no matter how much they have in stock there is no effect on the price...

i did the same trick onley with gems, harder to get but much more profit.. now i have so much gems that when I do the buy/sell/buy trick, i make 300.000gp profit

for a lot of gems just kill the earth troll at greatwoodlake get the xp and rubie, walk out the map, walk back and startd again.

I used oakvale to sell and buy cause that guy has WANTED: RUBY

Having guile 5 isnt enough. you need 100 attractivness and -100 scareness.

I have used the potions and the diamond trick and they work great. Especially the diamond buy/sell trick. I have lvl. 3 guile and i started to collect diamonds. Although most of the diamonds are in areas needed to be unlocked. You can become very rich early in the game. Even if you have 20 diamonds, you cant still make a decent amount of gold. As you progress, you keep buying more to receive a nice lump sum. I have 220 diamonds and I go to Hook Coast. I buy all he has. Then i sell them all. The second time and any after that will be a higher profit then the first initial buy/sell. I buy and sell these for like 5 mins. and i get about 3,000,000. I find this to be alot quicker then the ''sell house with trophies'' and the'' sleep 3 days and then run all over albion '' trick. one last thing all the gems work great too, but diamonds are getting me a 569 dollar profit for each (220diamonds).
You do the math. I hope this was helpfull and clarified enough to understand.

big cash. buy gems from the bwstone north guy sleep for 10-14 days and buy them keep goin till he has the max and get 200 of diamond ruby and emerald. buy and sell!! its amazing it sounds hard buy i have serious cash btw any1 got 1 1000million yet?
