Look , i've done everything i need to in fargrove , except custard mansion but i dont think its manditory. i've gone and talk the the lord and all that , i went out the west gates and went to the elve land (arindale) but they wont let me in i need a writ where the [heck] do i get that , and also i went to the barrow or whatever fields and found nothing but an altar of light or peace , what do i do to get into arindale ( please help me )

I need Help
One thing that is helpful is consulting the walkthrough. You can find it by looking at the stickies at the top of the page.
If you read the dialogue when you are at the elven outpost, the guards also talk about the "mark of ordained favor". This is what you will need to concern yourself with, not getting a writ, that is just part of their dialogue. Look at the map in the pic I attached. (map is taken from the walkthrough, btw, I simply edited it. )
This shows the gates of the elven outpost and you should follow the arrow. Just a short ways down the path is Lake Lohr, and you will need to swim out there and climb the tower. Once there, simply activate the altar. This is not a short little jaunt however, you are going to encounter some significant foes, so be warned. I don't want to just give the whole thing away here, but I think this should help.
The Harrow ruins and the shrine are relevant to two quests. The first is necessary for general game play, the second is only needed if your character is going to be in the Celestial guild. You can read about them in the walkthrough:
