How do I revive Aerie the vampire?

Postby yaanathn » Tue Dec 26, 2000 10:49 pm

Okay, I've got a problem here. I "chose" Aerie as the character my main would have a relationship with (I think I did what was called the "decent" thing to do with her, and so she was still in group up to the following opint). Then, when I went to the Graveyard District a second time to take out Bohdi for good, she meets my group at the gate and kidnaps Aerie. Annoyed beyond belief (I had to go in with no Restoration or negative Plan Protection spells, and plus, I was beginning to like Aerie), I went in, and when I made it to Bohdi's chamber, she had turned Aerie into a vampire! By the end of the battle, you have to kill her, or Drizzt (or whoever else was your companion in this raid) will do it for you. After she dies, you can carry her body out with you. In the description it tells you that she's dead, and that "there may be some way to revive her, but you don't know how."

So I'm wondering, does anyone here know? Please, if anyone does, tell me (in detail, hopefully).

And uh, hi (this is my first time posting on the board).

there's something about this elsewhere on the board I know. but to the side of Bodhi's main room is a selection of books that may point you in the right direction.

Its actually a pretty fun detective quest, the 1st clue are the books, they can be found in the room to the left of bohdi's
coffin.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you just want aerie back quick do the following. Get bohdi's heart (it was either in her coffin or in her body or something) and take it and aeries body to the shadow dungeon. You know, the shade lord places by the umar hills? Go there, and goto that indiana jones room, theres the statue of a guy holding his arms out. Put the body and bohdis heart in that and she'll be cured of vampirism.

Taken from a book length BG2 FAQ created by created by Dan Simpson that you can download over at http://www.gamefaqs.com/

SPOILER

SPOILER

SPOILER

"- BODHI FINALE

Head over to the Graveyard to listen to Bodhi. If you are currently in a Romance with someone, that person will be turned Cyan (such that you cannot talk to them) and a battle between your party and Bodhi's vampires breaks out. Your romantic interest will then be spirited away."

Skipping to after you kill Bodhi:

"Before leaving be sure to get:

Bodhi's Black Heart
Body of your Lover (if applicable)
The Vapiricus Omnibus: Unabridged (from the top left room)

- RESTORE YOUR LOVER

Well, before we go to Chapter Seven we have to undo the rest of what Bodhi did, namely we have to reverse the vampirism. The Vapiricus Omnibus mentions the god Amaunator, whose temple we restored when we defeated the Shade Lord (or, if you didn't do that, check out the Umar Hills section). Go to the Temple Ruins area.

Enter the temple ruins. Make your way to the lettered-floor room (where you can only cross safely by stepping on the letters AMAUNATOR) cross and enter the left room with the giant statue. Place the lover's body and Bodhi's Heart in the arms of the statue (x 2615 y 1620). Your lover will be restored back to life and will be very thankful.

Thanks, everyone, for your help. Was up past midnight this morning getting Aerie back. Ah, yes, I love this game.

Thanks again,
