Woes of Stillwater

Postby Ravor » Mon Nov 17, 2003 5:52 pm

Well, here I am in Stillwater, I've restored the Blind Master's Sight and told him where his true love was (I had already killed the Captain of the Guard after receiving my training as the lady requested.) I also saved the wizard from the Ogre and learned about the Huge Ruby guarded by some sort of demons, however, Myrt the Elf is nowhere to be found, the gentleman with knowledge of the Stillwater Giant tells me that he's too busy to talk, and the only question I can ask the thief with the idol is whether or not he has any work for me. My character has starting Int (8 I think.), 11 Beauty, and either 10 or 11 Charisma with 2 Ranks of Persuasion. Is there some trigger that I need to trip in order to finsih the quests or will I simply have to pickpocket the key in the man's sleep and have him end up hating me?

Thanks

I usually kill him, or pick his pocket. I never got the idol from him legaly.
If you decide to kill him, save first, kill, then reload and leave out anybody that objeted. That way you dont lose any followers.

Thanks. I was playing around with an Editor and I finally discovered why I couldn't get the idol by talking, I needed an Intelligence of at least 10 (I'm not sure what my persuasion skill needed to be or if I needed it at all, since I had already maxed it out by that time.) So it appears that I'll have to wait for awhile before returning the Shouded Hills Healer's necklace to her. (Considering that I had yet to go to Tarrent, and since I had to delete and reinstall everything while learning how to make custom backgrounds. :D )
