I made it right up to the final battle (which i am still tryin to win) with a ranger cleric (duel) . Stoneskins , firestorms and creeping doom are really great for big groups. Im also useing valygars armor so he can hide in shadows , very handy for much of ToB. Also the summon 5 skel warriors helps ...

A) The +1 means they can hit creatures that need magic weapons to hit, it also confers +1 to hit and +1 damage. B) I never tried the Kundane with my monk , but it might be better to use till you gain extra attacks with your fists (few more levels). C) Yes 1-20 is good , in fact it is the most damage...

Id go with an undead hunter, for the following reasons.

1. Someone to use the good 2handed weapons available.

2. Immune to lvl drain.
3. Additional cleric spells.
4. Stylin baby.
5. Make good use of all the really good plate out there.

Flail of ages can be aquired early and is very effective on Ad golems, the slow really lessens the attacks and spells it casts.

After playing through this game at least 10 times , as alot of us have im sure, i would say the most destructive character i had was useing the ravager +6 . The no save decapitation was absolutely awesome. I also put the gloves of extra ordinary skill on him , so he had 3 attacks per round. He mowed...

One way to handle them is to move your hole party into the room to the upper left of the portal, then turn the key and quickly run back to y our party , only 2-3 of the baddies will follow you in. After defeating the 2-3 you head back out and polish off the rest.

Yes , locked items are one downside to the solo monk . All you can do is save your giant str potions . On the upside , there are no "must" open items that cant be forced , so you will never get stuck. I also noticed there were really no items usually by the monk that were locked and unattainable. Go...

@dopplehanger ; the umberhulks in darnis hold were quite easy for my ranger/cleric (duel) , with ironskins and caotic commands , combined with bottlenecking them in the doorway , it was quite easy.

A ranger cleric (dual class) will get enough proficiency to get 2 stars in almost every one handed blunt, and 3 in 2 weapon style.

Akubi, there are several items in the game that provide protection from level drain, two that are available before you even have to look at a vampire (amulet of power). Untill you have tried it , you should keep an open mind.

A theif may have his special theif abilities but he is by no means as good as a fighter at melee. A fighter has many more HPS, better THAC0, better melee special abilities like whirlwind and hardiness, more attacks per round , the ability to go far beyond "proficient" , much better saveing throws (t...
