Won't a trackball have a lower range of movement than a mouse? Well, I've not used a trackmouse before (apart from the ones in public internet stations in the library or something). Then again, I suppose sensitivity can be changed. I'd rather not occupy one finger with movement, however, though a fi...

Yeah, I have the same problem as well. I think the LOD (level-of-detail) scrollbar in the options menu is supposed to deal with this, but it apparently doesn't. Shrug, you just bear with it.

I just got a new computer 2 weeks ago. Specs: - Athlon 64 3500+ on an MSI K8N Neo-2 Platinum (Nforce 3 Ultra) - 2 x 512 Mb DDR400 PC3200 RAM (I think Corsair) - Gainward Geforce 6800GT Golden Sample (It's been factory overclocked to Ultra speeds) - 2 x 80 GB Seagate HDs, running a RAID 0 array - LG ...

Ah, I'm properly corrected by an expert. =) Revising my opinion, you could be right there. I got similar frame rates on 1024x768 and 1280x1024 on my 6800GT. Curious.

Unfortunately the game has been known to run poorly on any system with less than 1 Gb of RAM. Does the game run at 4 frames per second all the time (in the city areas) or just temporarily? You can try turning one full circle to 'cache' the area. A Radeon 9000 should be no problem - I played on a Mob...

Yeah, I had the same problem with my laptop. It had only 512 Mb of RAM, plus the hard disk wasn't all that fast. I had a 4 Gb pagefile, but that didn't really help loading times. Suggest you keep a book close at hand to read - because that's what I did. Heh. Or you could get another 512 Mb RAM - it ...

I finished the game as a katana wielding Malkavian, and now am playing through as a ranged Tremere. My Malk threw a Bedlam into a bunch of enemies and just jumped in like a madman, which was fun - although 90% of the time I obfuscated and stabbed everyone in the back. Currently I'm now going to the ...

I never did finish the quest, because I was a melee-based Malkavian (took the prostitute quest instead). However I've noticed that turning on Auspex allows you to see which zombies are the 'gate-attacking' ones. Those in a blue or red glow will attack you, and do not approach the gate. Those with a ...

Well, if you're soloing, by the time you really need to fight major vampires, you get the amulet of power from Aran Linvail. Of course, fighters can't use it, so one'd have to dual to a mage first. Or, one could wield an Improved Mace of Disruption (though that only happens during the assault on Bod...

Hmm, well, by that argument then strength is utterly useless for fighters as well - just swig a bottle of cloud giant strength and there you have it!

AFAIK, Viconia is a poor damage dealer and poor tank (STR and CON both in the dumps). Of course, there are Strength belts, but it's either Strength belts or the Belt of Fortitude, which increases CON to 18 for tanking. If you're playing only SoA then its fine to leave Viccy with the Flail of Ages, b...

Go back to the hotel where you found the woman. There's a piece of paper there (should be on the bed), show it to the 'enlightened' fellow.

Alienware laptops have good reviews, as far as I can remember. However since you're looking for laptops with the whole works, then there isn't much choice in looking for different brands of laptop for you. Hardly any major laptop manufacturers produce the standard of the high-powered Alienware lapto...

If you get Viconia to join WHILE your reputation's at 19, then she won't quit, unless your reputation crosses the 18 barrier again (i.e. from 17 to 18). At least, that's what I think; I might have heard somewhere that as long as your rep changes from 19 to something else, she quits.
