An almost forgotten bug, as it was solved by the first official patch IIRC. Happened only with dual-classed berserker/mages.

Improved Irenicus is only in Tactics Mod, and maybe (I say MAYBE) in one of the latest versions of the SolaMod pre-Tactics era. Are you sure Tactics isn't installed? It surely looks like it is.
