Wands are easily recharged. Just sell them before all the charges run out and the vendor charges them up again. THen you can buy or steal the recharged wand and use it to yer hearts desire. The best place to do this seems to be the shadow thieves black market since they put fifty charges in all wand...

Most would say that the cloak of mirroring and Baldurans shield is the way to go. The mages way is to use spell deflection spells, wich mimics the mentioned items. The thieves way is to lay a lot of traps onto wich the gauths are lured. The warriors way is simply to bash away with everything he or s...

I agree with you, Nighthawk. What else could I do? My statement was not meant to imply anything actually. It was just a pun with words to further express my loathing for the futulity of the alignement system present in AD&D. I might be inclined to calm myself a bit though when the first orc is knigh...

Dear Nippy. In my own humble way of envisioning events of fantasy and beyond I would say that the chaotic evil drow would not sacrifice his or her life to say that of the spider. I would say that he or she would reason that the spider must be weak and stupid to get itself killed like that. This assu...

Looking for newer AIscripts.

The AIscripts in BG2, though nice and functional, are not all that they could be in my opinion. I know that most scripts are just a substitute for pausing the game and "doing it yourself" but I still like the fact that a good script lets me focus on other things and not worry about Minsc trying to w...

I would suggest doing what I had to do meself in order to get BG2 to run smoothly. Start up the config program and turn of everything that seems to need the slightest bit of memory. Then start the game and to the same there. Yep, that's right. All sound, all grapic effects and the cool little detail...

I would recommend dualing into a thief, considering that the mages low hitpoints will not make him well suited to close combat. The rouge level up fast, thus regaining spellcasting quickly, and would be well augumented by even lowlevel spells like invisibility and blindness (Not to mention that a qu...

Evil has always been in the eye of the beholder. The alignement system present in Dungeons and Dragons only serves as a way to justify the killing of "monsters". IE they are evil and noone should feel bad for killing them (like the devils in Doom or the aliens in Halflife to name but two). Not very ...

Just walk along the branches. The seeds will plant themselves and thus new branches will grow for you to continue around the tree to face Irenicus.

Travin should be standing above the building that holds the Copper Coronet. For some reason he doesn't always show up wich have led me to suspect that it is a timed quest. Or just a buggy one. No real profit from doing the quest though, should you not be a priest of lathander that is. In retrospect ...

Not much of a clue really but when I looked trough the game using the Infinity explorer I discovered that more than just Imoen uses "Imoens Belt". It seems to be an item that prevents death, be it spells or battle. I would assume that the developers first created the item for Imoen, so that she woul...

Looking for some items.

There are three items that have bugged me with their nonappearance in the game, so to speak. First is the Jade Hound figurine, wich summons and astral hound. Not to be mistaken with the Moondog figurine you get trough the Ranger stronghold quest. Then there is a second location for the Belm+2. I fin...

Pheew! Your question strikes me as a bit odd to tell the truth. Keldorn is a very powerful fighter when donning the bracers of dexterity, a belt of giant strength and wielding the Carsomyr but he still can't disarm traps or cast spells. I assume you mean wich NPC that gives you the most advantages w...

My humble view on the subject is that the undead hunter kit is the most useful of the paladin kits. Being able to withstand hold spells and effects, wich ruins anyones day, as well as not having to fear the disastrous result of a massive level drain gets my vote any day. The paladin kits are all ver...

The skull of death is a simple unadorned helmet with the special ability to cast the Death spell once a day. Good for getting rid of pesky summoned minions and other rabble but in my opinion not very useful compared to the direct benefits of even a helmet of charmprotection. The Death spell simply d...
