Here you go, Lasher http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/ Do you have the latest iPod updater installed? If so, you could try using a different USB port, or the firewire connection. If that doesn't work, try plugging it directly into an el...

If you delete something from your library in iTunes, you will lose it from your playlist, too. The library is where it stores the master data. What I would suggest is don't play anything from your library at all, just copy what you DO want to listen to to a playlist, and use that (after all it is on...
Heh, yes, I'm considering myself older crew. I'm not spamming anymore, and I'm not humorous anymore as (thanks, Hill) some think. I'm disapointed, and I guess so is ik, and maybe we're trying to find out who we are and what should we do. Funny, the way you put yourself into the d...

Ah, another decline of SYM discussion, perhaps? Short of sounding insincere, been there and done it, a few times. I guess if we could just step back and accept that group dynamics will always change when someone leaves, and someone joins. Whether for good or for bad, it is inevitable (thankfully!) W...

There was a young man they named Weasel
Whose visage would bless any easel
With grace and with air
He's more gorgeous than cher
And his absence was well known to tease 'em

Interesting POV, Phreddie, thank you! Like I said, since I have nothing but an opinion of a journalist to go on here, we can only assume that the study group were predominantly violent serial killers, as cited, but the group were 500 strong. Maybe it did consist of religious fanatics, and megalomani...

To kick off, this subject is also dicussed at length by Scott-Peck in his book "People Of The Lie" Essentially he is alluding to narcissism, which makes for a good discussion in concept, but - even though he regularly claims not to let his Christian standing impose upon his professional opinion - he...

(February 13, 2005) -- EVIL, a concept long reviled by psychologists, may have been rehabilitated. A study of serial killers and mass murderers suggests that some criminals are so inherently bad that there is no other word to describe their actions. The term evil has been derided because it is regar...

Mad or Bad? (spam light please)

I am about to post something for discussion, but want to stress that I do not have the source for this particular piece (even though subsequent searches of the subject matter have turned up similar discussions, I found nothing that could be considered authoritative). I managed to trace it back to a ...
How do you express your feelings for your significant other when you suddenly, randomly feel the need to show them exactly how you feel? Hill, LOL! Ok, just one more thought before I retire for the night, back on subject I fear
We still maintain genes from when we were monkeys. Fight or flee. Heck, some people still run up a tree at the first sign of trouble. Those genes may be altered, but not enough to 'derail th...
To annoy Fiona, a little tiny side fact; did you know that when you stepped in your parents footsteps in the snow as a kid, that is a survival gene that is still with us today? Still made it fun though. Cool, eh?
ROFL! That is only so your ankles keep warm. If they were p...

There was no attempt at humour on my part, it is too late in the day (or too early in the morning) for such subtlety from me. I take off my hat to your superior knowledge of genetics, maybe the instinct to advance the human race is greater than our need to accept we have obligations we prescribed t...

Slade, I agree with Fiona. There is nothing superficial about your stated view. Fiona, indeed, there is no perhaps about it I don't think. Violence is violence. There is nothing tender about a rape. Maybe what Hill is about to add to that paragraph is something about primitive survival of the fittes...

@ Hill.Best evidence is best evidence, no question. But in my experience of child abuse many people believe there is a foolproof test in every case and come looking for it when they are fearful about their children. Sadly the courts also seem to believe that there will usually be physical signs of ...
