casavir bug - need a savgame

I can't get past the Casavir bug after the bonegnasher clan cave. Casavir doesn't show up and the exit-point doesn't work. I have had this problem a long time and tried almost everything I think... I've tried taking the emissary with me, I have tried keeping my main character marked during both ambu...

It seems, (if this thread is still right and the "rapid reload"-feat still doesn't work like the manual says i should in the game: ) Neverwinter Nights: Does rapid reload work only for crossbows? that the crossbow is basically useless compared to the bow, because of low fire-rates compared to bow at...

who's best if you're a thief? I have used the half-orc melee character, but I would like a good healer who can remove negative effects etc. I tried the cleric elf woman, but she doesn't seem to do much good.. I can't control her spell-casting and she just sporadically casts a healing spell. She does...

bow/crossbow differences?What's best?

Hi, I'm playing a rogue/bard-character (with a few fighter-levels) and I'm not sure if I'm gonna stick with the crossbow, which I am capable of using, or if I'm gonna spend points on becoming skilled with the bow... Is the bow better? What is better with the bow? Does the crossbow have any advantage...

According to the manual, helmets protect you from critical hits in IWD2 as well. Quote from the manual page 131: Helmets : Helmets, made of reinforced leather or metal, cover most of the head, save the face and neck. Helmets protect against critical hits. Hope you haven`t dumped all your helmets now

HoM3 was a great strategy game and defenitely better than HoM4. More balanced, more variation, kept me going for months (still picks it up every ones and a while). I haven`t played HoM5 or the two oldest. I liked HoM5 in the beginning, but it didn`t last as long as HoM3.

I've never played a "finesse tank" as a full time front line tank. The closest that I've come is playing a medium DEX (14), chain-wearing tank. But even with that character I think a full plate(or light weight full plate a la Oswald Fiddlebender) would be a better option than chainmail, as it will ...

Is it of any use at low levels either? (Just pokin' fun... I couldn't resist) Hehe, not much so far..., up to level8(where my party currently is) Only place I`ve had any use of it so far was the Shaengarne Dam, where I was attacked by arctic boars, snow leopards and Highland Cats Crucis: Well, I`m ...

Is animal empathy any use at high levels?

Are there powerful animal enemies throughout the game beyond the first levels or is that skill just a waste of skillpoints?

Yes, you could go with a DEX-style fighter, but I'm not sure that max DEX, leather wearing fighters do all that well as a frontline primary tank, but I could be wrong. I suppose you could go with a 20 DEX build, but at that point, you might have a character better suited to be an archer who only en...

That said, an interesting build that I've used once or twice is a ftr X/rogue 2. I start the character as a rogue and max out the talking skills. I also have the character have a DEX 14, so that he'll have a decent enough DEX to take advantage of rogue evasion at 2 levels of rogue. I switch over to...

Are you sure the character gets 3 skill points with 10 INT? Humans with an INT of between 3-11 should only get 2 (1 for all other races). your right, I was supposed to type 12 int there I'd personally reduce INT further and put on a bit of WIS - this will also boost your Will saves and allow Ranger...

I quit the ranger/bard idea and went for inteligence. I actually adjusted the rangers abilities with the program dalekeeper2. (I`m new to the 3rd edition rules so I think that justifies it . I also increased the skill levels to the point I would be if I`d increased intelligence at the beginning of t...

ok,thanks. Well, there`s quite a while before my halforc fighter will get it then, even though he has 18 constitution. He gains only 1 skill point per level, one concentration rank costs 2 skill points. But he has nothing else to spend the skill points for anyway so what the heck..

maximized attacks:4 ranks in Concentration?

The feat "maximized attacks" requires 4 ranks in Concentration. Is that 4 with or without the constitution bonus?

Does anyone know (or have a suggestion) how high the skills diplomacy, bluff and intimidate should be to make successfull rolls throughout the game then? The ranger has quite low base skill points per level (2 per level with an int of 10), but maybe I should increase int to get more verbal skills th...
