I haven't tried it with all of the races, but I'm positive it works for elves, half-elves and humans. You need to have high BE and CH and, if I'm not mistaken, fairly high Persuasion. In general, a male diplomat should be able to get involved with her with no problem. Not sure about dwarves, tho'. :D

When it comes to games, I value style, plot and gameplay. Everything else is secondary. With that in mind, I'd say Arcanum is the game I've had most fun with, from its brilliant steampunk setting, a great plot and simply wonderful music. As for others: Fallout Planescape: Torment Fallout 2 System Sh...

You've got the European version of the game. The children were apparently removed so the player couldn't be able to kill them, which ended in wierd situations such as seeing floating text coming out of nowhere or being robbed in the Den by invisible kids. Here 's a patch that puts children back in t...

If that was possible in the game, don't you think someone would already mention it in one of the numerous walkthroughs? I think someone who told you that has mixed up several quests, most probably the pagan gods quest, half-ogre quest and the dragon blood quest.

The first official patch for Fallout 2 is 1.2b, and 1.1 for Fallout. A wild guess - you've accidentally installed the patch for the wrong game (although I don't know how this is possible), so uninstalling the game doesn't remove all the files. As for fixing the problem, try with manual installation .

I'm going through an RPG phase again, so I'm playing Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Temple of Elemental Evil and Arcanum. Also, as a stress-reliever, Test Drive Unlimited.

Have you tried installing every single patch there is? That method always worked for me.

I remember boosting my character to level 100 once and I got to choose a perk every three levels even after I got 20 of them. I guess the amount of perks you can get is limited only by the maximum level. Nippaditty: http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/6163/newthreadnv0.png (why aren't image tags work...

Actually, the best method is to install patches in a consecutive order, ie. 1.02b, 1.03, 1.04, etc, regardless of whether they're official or unofficial. Also, the game will alsways show the version of the last official patch, even if you have 1.05 installed. All of the unofficial patches can be fou...

Yeah, it can be bought from inventors, but since it's pretty rare, you'll just have to be persistent. Some items are very hard to come by in Arcanum.

As soon as the map loads for the first time, if I recall correctly. Also, from what I've experienced, it seems to depend on your character's aptitude/skills. For instance, if your character has a degree in, let's say, Smithy and Explosives, you're more likely to find ingredients for items created th...

Disintegrate is by far the most powerful combat spell there is (and probably the best one as well). However, as a level 5 spell, it takes tremendous amounts of fatigue to cast (50) and it destroys all of the items the target is carrying on itself. However, once you get to Tulla and get a mastery in ...

What OS are you using? Is the game an original or a backup copy?
Etc, etc.

Please provide more information, we can't help you very much otherwise.

Finished Fallout recently, it's been ten years after all. Also, I got BioShock, and I'm loving every minute of it. The atmosphere is simply awesome. I'm also playing ET Quake Wars demo and Test Drive Unlimited, but to a lesser extent.

The following is based solely on my experience and involves sidequests directly connected to the Iron Clan quest. The pink button works fine for me. Anyway, on the video... Some things I liked, some not so much. Details in design where they tried to stay true to the predecessors are pretty neat (non-furry deathclaws, let's say), but the "we're Fallout fans that aren't afraid of progress" excuses for ditching tu...

Yep, games are way too hard these days. Definetely. The market is flooded with hardcore DnD RPGs and adventure games filled with insanely difficult puzzles. Don't get me started on those realistic simulators where one single mistake can lead to a disaster. What we need are more linear, dumbed-down t...

From those I can think of at the moment, Fahrenheit (aka The Indigo Prophecy) and Darwinia. Fahrenheit plays like an interactive movie with one of the best stories I've seen in a computer game. The only downside is that it gets quite a lot of plot holes towards the end, mainly because of the sudden ...

I gave Tomb Raider Anniversary a try. On the plus side the puzzles are well done and cliff diving is still lots of fun. On the negative the fighting is still as silly as the original and the boss fights are complete trash. I had the T Rex run full on into the spike traps and no damage was done. I q...
