Frankly, I'm surprised by the reactions of some of the gamers here. Okay, so the guy in the video enjoys playing live-action RPGs. Sure, why not. I really don't see anything wrong with it. Not in itself, anyway. There might be other things in his life--or lacking in his life--that we might question,...

Besides, CA -did- confirm that the hit point thing is a bug, so that one absolutely has to be fixed. Fixing that without fixing the THACO bug, however, would make the imbalance created by the THACO bug exponentially worse, and that makes the THACO issue even more obviously a bug. I would not be wil...

It's currently 22 degrees Fahrenheit here in north Texas, and the sky is currently clear. The forecast for Tuesday says to expect freezing drizzle and a high temperature of 34 degrees. I know that sounds like typical winter weather to most people (perhaps even mild to some of you up north), but the ...

According to Rassmussen Reports , Rod Blagojevich's approval rating was 4% on October 13, 2008. He was under investigation for months before his arrest. He is also clearly a lunatic, judging by his hopes for his political future and his total inability to understand the kind of trouble he is in. Giv...

Why are Illinois politics as corrupt? I've heard that quite a lot, and I'm curious as to the background. The entry at Wikipedia offers a short but informative explanation. Illinois is by no means the only state that has a history of political corruption. If you want an entertaining introduction to ...

In case anyone is still interested in how much money the McCain campaign spent on Sarah Palin's beautification (not to be confused with "beatification"), the Republicans have reported more expenses to the Federal Election Commission. In other words, this isn't just speculation; the numbers are real....

You don't have to kill Trias to get Celestial Fire. You can steal it from him. Ok, well, maybe it is very well known, so sorry if this looks a little stupid on my side. I didn't know you could steal Celestial Fire from Trias. Do you mean by pickpocketing? The dialogue begins as soon as he sees you,...

I'm not sure how old the Nameless One is. He might be over a thousand years old, or maybe only a few centuries. The game is somewhat inconsistent on that point. When you visit Ravel in her maze, Ravel says that she waited "centuries" for the Nameless One to return to her, and I think that might be o...

One of the reasons I like BG2 so much is the personalness of the story. In IWD (and especially IWD2) you are effectively a mercenary, and I don't see why your character, and therefore you, would care all that much about the fate of Easthaven/Kuldahar... I felt the same way about IWD until I realize...

Every time you leave the area, it resets itself with a whole new batch of monsters. It doesn't matter whether you killed one, none, or all of them the last time you were there. You don't have to rest; you can go right back in. I keep one person by the exit (usually Fall-From-Grace) to pull everyone ...

I knew you'd bring Warren up! I had a bet with my wife. What did you win? The SC has never been a place to reward one's political backers. Even Bush didn't do that. It's a place where you put philosophical fellow travelers. Political backers get ambassadorships. I wonder if Bill is brushing up on h...

He has also nominated a few Supreme Court Justices, if that counts for anything. Nope. Well, if Bill Clinton was ever involved in a close election, his buddies on the Supreme Court might step in to stop the recount. They owe him one. (It has been known to happen, you know.) But consider the context...

By "US Foreign Minister", I presume you mean US Secretary of State. It's a prestigious position, but I can't imagine why anyone would give up a seat in the U.S. Senate for it, especially someone like Hillary Clinton, who could probably keep her seat for life if she wanted to and who could potentiall...

The Modron Cube can repeatedly be reset to Hard for a lot of XP also. I don't personally enjoy "farming" though... it's pretty boring. That's true, but experience farming puts an end to all worries about stat distribution very effectively. You betcha. I'd really love to find out the minimum stats n...
