does "Breach" really help? I was under the impression it was one of the less useful powers, especially if you do most of your damage with a saber anyway.
I know there are times when it will be less clear, like you said. But I think it's okay to "break the speed limit" while shouting for all to stand clear because you're chasing after some monster who has kidnapped the princess, ect.. BTW, check out this thread (it's from a non cRPG forum) about an "i...
Slight Spoiler: All paladins portrayed in the BG-series are indeed narrowminded fanatics. Keldorn wouldn't have been my favorite npc anyway, but his attitude towards Drow is straightforward racism. It's too bad he never gives a reaction to Viconia's (possible) alignment change in ToB. So...
Thanks Coot. My plan is to now dual my Cleric at level 9 (GM in Mace, Specialized in Sling) and dual the Illusionist at level 13 (maxing out bows and greatswords, with maximum ApR).
Thanks a lot Philos! Although I'd like a Cleric full-time, I really think the benefits of a Fighter outweigh that of a Cleric early on. I'm not big into turning undead, I kinda like bashing them! I'd also like to point out that I'm not using the character as a Fighter first for more HP (but that is ...
Okay, I know this one is a little weird, but read on through and LMK what I can do to make it better. NOTE: I will be playing on insane mode to get these dual-classers going!! 1)Human Paladin (tank from start to finish, nice to have a single classer to just leave alone. Will eventually use longsword...
I know, I know, another thread by good ol' krunchy. Humor me. I need some advice on some dual-classed characters, namely a Fighter -> Cleric and a Fighter -> Mage. In the party I have brewing in my head, there is a Paladin and Fighter/Druid muliticlass for healing before I have a Cleric, and a BArd ...
Since you're soloing, you can definitely become powerful enough to beat these guys in chapter 2. Spoiler: Defeating the Red Dragon is the last mission of the Paladin Stronghold, and you gain MASSIVE amounts of experience if you wait until they tell you to hunt him down. Also, ...
I'm thinking about playing a dual classed character or to instead of a multiclassed character in my potential party. Just curious: If you're going to dual class a Fighter into a spellcaster (Cleric or Mage) how high a level is good to switch at? I know you use HP to your advantage switcing at level ...
I played IWD 2 first, maybe that's why I like it more. I really liked IWD 1 too, though I could never get HoW I would love to try that one day. (Time is against me, I know, there's no chance to buy it anymore).
Check e-bay. I bought all of my IE games late, and bought them all c...
The problem with multiclass characters, especially three classes like the f/m/t, is that they lvl slow. A single class character, including a thief, will lvl quicker. Thieves have more than enough abilities to put points and proficiencies in and some of the HLA aren't bad either. Also, a...
1) Elf Fighter/Mage/Thief 2) Elf Mage/Thief 3) Gnome Illusionist/Thief 4) Human Thief/Mage (dual after level 7 - 10) I know none of these options produce the "optimum" Mage (which would be single-classed from the start), but I don't want a character like that in this game. I won't find scrolls fast ...
What is your opinion of specialist mages with ToTL installed? Do the opposing schools make the benefit of an extra spell per level not worth it? I was thinking of playing with an Illusionist and a Bard as a backup spellcaster. The idea is that the Illusionist can memorize all 9th level spells in thi...
I think a multiclassed Fighter/Thief is a very good protagonist, mainly because there aren't very many good thief NPCs. I like a F/M/T even more though.
