I don't remember how to use it either I would try running a google seach under importing items into IWD2 or some such. I do remember that the stuff you type into the console is case sensative so be careful typing.
The support beam that gives you the wood cannot be attacked, you have to click on it like a treasure chest and the wood will automatically be given to you. If there was a problem with your game, just use the CLUA (cheat console) in the game. You can enable it under the IWD2 confihuration program. Th...
well i tried to export the mos files, but nothing could open them NI does have a print function in it, but I do not know how well it will print. If you are interested in high quality pics taking screen shots of the in game maps may be the best idea. Scripts are also printable via NI, and can be expo...
Ok when you open NI you are prompted to open the keyfile to the game. Each IE game has ONE of these key file located in the game folder. So to find the keyfile for say IWD2 you would browse to c:/program files/black isle/IWD2/ Then you should see the attatched picture in NI. Open the purple highligh...
Since you'll be DMing I wouldsay get as much info out of NI as you can. Some of the stuff will not be possible to discover without knowlege of scripting, as that is how IWD2 does a lot of things (item placement, mosters, ect.). My best suggestion would be to play through the game once while looking ...
The file that NI wants is the key file for the game. It is located in you IWD2 game folder. Just browse in NI to the file path (assuming you installed IWD2 in the default location): c:/program files/black isle/IWD2/ If you still need some more info I can post some pics so you can see what needs to b...
Okay, you prolly got the program, not the source code. The program should be 707k. If this is not the file size, delete what you have and get the near infinty program from the NI site. The link to get NI http://www.idi.ntnu.no/~joh/ni/NearInfinity.jar Now, to get the java stuff you need go to the li...
I tried to unclick the box, but I never found a dl that was long enough and I think it was gryed out after my mistake... But Xandax nailed it. Thanks!!! Don't wory about the time, I've been banned from the GB forums by the work server So I don't get around to checking the forums as often anymore.
if you got NI up and running it should look like the attached pic. From then on you just open whatever files you want to access. The are files I mentioned include the basic info of the area suck as current NPC, encounter rates, scri[ts etc. The area images are stored somewhere else (can't remember w...
If you open your image in paint and go file/save as... you have the option of changin the file type as well as the name of hte file. Make sure they are 24bit bmp pictures. Also, how can you be sure of the size of your pictures in paint (just curious). If this does'nt help post back and we'll try and...
Make sure that the names are not too long as stated in the above post, this has been the most common problem with my portraits in the past. If this is not the cause what program did you use to edit the portraits with? I think they have to be 24bit too, that may be your problem.
I am assuming that you got Near Infinity from the creator's website (I forget his name). In order to run it you must download the java runtime stuff. There are specific direction on what java stuff to download on the NI website. Once you get NI running you will need to open the chain key to the game...
since you have near infinity (NI) I am assuming that you also got the java stuff and got NI up and running. I this is so than I would not bother with infinity explorer as you will be able to find everything that you need using NI. The stuff that you will propably be looking for one NI opens up are t...
I don't know how familiar you are with the infinity engine, but I doubt that anyone has produced such a list. If you don't mind doing a little work, you can find all the info you want. The IE engine has been figured out in great detail and is pretty easy to work with (look at modify etc.). There is ...
From your comment about the King of Dragon Pass I would assume you have played the game. I remember some of your past recomendations for games like Wizardry 8 (a great game). Would you say that King of Dragon Pass is worth buying? I think its only 20$ via download.
