Unconfirmed: The Witcher 2 Console Versions to be Announced at E3

German website VideoGamesZone brings word via PS3 Site Polska that CD Projekt RED intends to finally reveal their oft-rumored plans to bring The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at this year's E3 and GamesCom events. The news apparently comes from a TV interview with CD Projekt's Michael Kicinski, so this probably doesn't need our "unconfirmed" label:
It has been suggested by those in charge of the developer CD Projekt are just that, a console version of the RPG The Witcher 2 was possible, and regular testing would take place: "It will run on PS3 and Xbox 360," was producer Tomasz Gop CD project late last Year announced. Accordingly, it was expected that Geralt and his new adventure at some point find their way onto Sony's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from Microsoft. Now, Michal Kicinski, co-founder of the said company, again against a Polish website officially confirmed that at the port of The Witcher 2 will work Assassins of Kings for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, the console version will still have to wait about three to four months to himself. The PC version of role playing, on 17 May 2011 will have first priority. First details on the console version of The Witcher 2 will reveal to major game events like the Gamescom in Cologne or the E3 in Los Angeles, the operator of the Polish Home.

Michal Kicinski CD Project responded to the question of the console versions of The Witcher 2 as follows: "Yes, it is for us a completely new project, but of course we are already working on it you can assume that we told you during major events such as. E3 and the Gamescom be informed about this further."
