Mike Laidlaw, a BioWare veteran of 14 years, has announced his departure from the company via Twitter. During his time at BioWare he worked on Jade Empire, Mass Effect, and the Dragon Age series, having recently been the creative director on Dragon Age: Inquisition. Laidlaw didn't specify his reasons for leaving, and it is unclear as of yet whether he has plans to continue his career as a game developer.
