Here's a question for you. If 10 years is a decade, and 100 years is a century, and 1000 years is a millennium, what is the chronological term for 100,000? Winner gets more pop-up ads!

@Aegis: K as in 100K?
K = kilo = 1000
@Eminem: I suppose the Romans didn't count in figures as large as 100 000

Keep in mind, though, that the Roman Empire was still mastering the numerical system in general. When they were taught it, they probably didn't go past 1000 very often.

it is a billinium the reason why it is not so known is that it is not used THAT often for some reason.

BTW The romans were actually ver yadvanced, in comparison to the current era/climate in the world they were amasing, if development had continued on the course they laid down, then being in space consistently would be realistic goal IMO
