Final Battle

Am on the final battle with the giant King of Shadows but am unable to destroy th statues as the game won't let me bash them. Please help.

What do you mean the game won't let you bash them? What happens when you right-click on them?

Nothing happens when I right click on the statues. Have only been able to damage them by having a character use a wand of magic missiles which obviously runs out before it takes one down.

You need to right click and hold the mouse button down. A menu should pop up with the bash option.
If that's what you've been trying, and it's not working, then I dunno. The statues should work just like any other bashable object.
