Wish the world could settle its differences another way eg put all governments against each other in like an olympics or something.

This kind of attack is not very appropriate, i have edited the unecessary comments, i know you were joking, but some people have strong views about there country and/or religions.

That's why Mr. Sleep edited that post. It had content that needed to be missed.
You're really trying to become a spammer, ne?

I did not mean to offend people but get other peoples viewpoints. This is a good medium to communicate in because it is safe. No personal contact is needed.
To find out about the world is why I use this and dont see why this editing should take place.
It is from discussions that the truth can be established. Lets have it out and not be scared to talk!! This is the free world is it not.
I dont assume we all always support our goverments.
I actually forgot what I said exactly. Something about being neutral I think.
Peace is best outcome

Yeah, but, even though I didn't see what you posted before it got edited, I must say that I have seen too many friendships torn apart by "talking things out" online. I even lost a friend through that once. It's not as "safe" as you might think...

At99 i appreciate that you merely wish to discuss things, discussion is great...if it functions, but all to often these forms of discussions lead to flaming and personal attacks. If you wish to discuss certain points there are many threads open that cover the topics that have been raised.
I hope you understand my reasons, i will reiterate my points if you wish.

I realize when people start to insult each other viciously you have the right to stop this. (fair enough)
But in my case this did not happen. I had a warrented query about some world event situation.
Oliver North posed the same question on TV and he was not edited out.
How about you take your argument to CNN and see what they have to say about your interference. Or how about George W Bush !!
Or how about you put this to the vote. Democracy is freedom .

The role of a moderator is to see these things before they happen, that is all i did in this situation. With the situation as it is there are still a lot of anger towards Bin Ladin and others, by editing your comments i was merely stopping unecessary insults and flaming.

At99, if you wish to discuss any of this further feel free to mail or PM me. Unfortunately i will not be here for a while.

I was able to read at99's pre-edited version (don't worry Mr. Sleep, sir, I wouldn't mention them).
Suffice to say that after reading them I did see it coming that the moderators are bound to have that post edited.
This is a Free World, true, but
with freedom always comes responsibility.
Piece of (un)solicited advice: just avoid sweeping negative statements.
Peace, bro

I dont disagree with your motives MR sleep. I dont want a insult throwing contest. I dont believe I was prompting this type of response from my email.
Anyway I have seen far worse around, why pick on me.

Yours is not the only that has been edited i assure you. I did not just pick on you. I happened to be here at the time when you posted; saw it and edited what i thought might prompt a heated argument.
If you have seen far worse tell me about it and i will see what i can do, i try to catch all the arguments before they happen but i am not omnipotent. There is a forum violations link at the top, if ever anything offends you then use it.
