The worst place in the universe

There are times when I take a break and my mind starts traveling down odd pathways...okay, whom am I kidding. My mind is
always traveling down odd pathways.

Anyway, my question is this: what is the single most repellant place you can imagine to be in, at any given time?
I'm thinking some third-rate, seedy motel in northern New Jersey may qualify. You'd have green-painted walls, tacky, lowend decor, air from the oil refineries, a couple of cheesy bar/restaurants nearby, and nothing else. It makes you wonder why Hungary, Finland and North Dakota lead the world in suicides.
Your turn.

Ok that was edit out.
I guess to wake up in the No Tell Motel and not having any idea how I got there.

Well, Waverly's place is way up there... But... I think there are worse places to be...

@Aegis, feel free to name one.

Or at least, give us a feeling for the terrors that lurk in Waverly's home.

@Leedogg, if you'd ever been to New Jersey, you know that a hurricane can be considered a pleasureful jaunt in comparison.

Maybe Dr.Grunts island would be worse.
@fable: we haven't had rain in weeks. another drought? Time for a hurricane just like '99. No rain for a month, everybodies panicking, and then we have a hurricane that brings more rain than we wanted.

Being on the North korean side of the Sino-N korean border. To these people, China represents "Freedom". I apologise profusely if anybody is offended by this comment.

I HATE THE COLD!!
actually I love hurricanes-I don't like to be at work during them though!
In jail for killing someone-but really innocent. ie-Shawshank Redemption.

bah, in mumbai, i visited a few years back, it was like thsi:
hot and smelly, the "police" being actually the military, who seem to abuse their power by picking on moslems.
India can be a great place too though, at the same time, barely any worries
