Hot Keys

I've just started playing this game. I'd like to know how to set up "hot keys" for my scrolls.
to set up your scroll, magic, or invoke "hotkeys"-
open equipment menu, open arcane magic, for example, then hover the pointer over the desired spell. then, assign it a number, 1-8, by pressing that number on the keyboard. pretty simple, good luck
