I hate my life. Where I live, there are three computors. One doesn't work, the one that sucks has internet, and the one that plays my games won't work right now. I have only access to the ****ty computor with internet, but none of my fricken games, or programs! Oh well... Perhaps someone can tell me were I can find a Windows 98 product key? Or get one replaced. Until then, I'm going to be doing an awful lot of spamming...

You know - I've started to get my Win ME virus under control, so my computer is acutally running almost error free for the first time in 1½ years

Are you sure you wanna know???
Well actually - all it took was a new motherboard + cpu, new grapichs card and an extremely slow driver installation.

My best advice is install one driver at a time - and if your computer reboots correctly the next 5-10 times (without a typical ME-failer: The Blue Screen of Death on shutdown) move on to next drivers.
With me - the drivers to my graphic card didn't work correctly until after I updated them. (Also programs like QuickTime will chrash my computer

)
I made the mistake since I've often had to reinstall my system, I placed all neasecary drivers and programs on my harddrive, so I can install from there, but instead of installing one, rebooting and continuing, I installed 3-4 and reboted - than might not be so good

Thank you! The ironic thing is it was Win 98 that lost my drivers, and my PC doctor though Win ME might find them...no luck yet.
It is the sound card that is the problem - if I run DirectX diag on it I can play all sounds except the 3D sounds from the hardware buffer. I am having the card replaced...

You didn't really just buy Windows "saving throws lowered by 2" ME, did you? I thought I was the only foolish clown to have done such a daft thing. Ho-hum.
