starting level

When I started the game my character started at 7th level, why is this?

Since its a continuation from the first Baldur's Gate, and the story follows the one particular character. At the end of the first game, most characters would be around 7-8th level, so this game picks up right where the last one left off, experience-wise.

It's a trick to make you buy ToSC so you can import a character with 161.000 XP.vitosqueo wrote:When I started the game my character started at 7th level, why is this?
Or, they thought sticking to the XP limit of BG1 without the expansion would be more fair towards people who didn't get ToSC.
