Intallation Patches???

I am a new owner of the Game. Do I need to install all patches 1.1 1.2 and 1.3 or can I just install 1.3?????

I don't have the answer. According to the readme text, the 1.3 patch is diferent from the 1.1 & 1.2. I've got all 3 installed and it's working fine. Patch 2 was the answer initally to all the crashing and game corruption. May also be useful to update your 3D accelerator driver to improve on results.

Hi Bunny, thanx! I got all three patches loaded but the game is running in SLOOWWWWW motion - unplayable. When you said to update my video card what should I do? I have a voodoo2 16meg with a NEC LCD monotor.

Voodoo 2 on a LCD monitor and you wonder why it's running slowly? You're lucky to get the V2 to run at all with DX8...

Can someone please tell me where to get the patches? I installed this game over Christmas, on the second crash during installation I lost windows completely - causing disk corruption and major heartache -is this a known problem - does anyone know how to get around this? Do I install the patches before the game? Thank you

You need to install the 1.1 patch first and then the other 2. Patch 1.2 solves the crashing and game corruption bugs and is vital.

@Bunny - thank you I ended up having to reformat my drive, as all the registry was corrupted I hope this is a good game after what I have gone through since Christmas Day I didn't even complete an install....will these patches stop the crashing and corruption before I start installation (as the crashed happened during installation) Thanks again....

Patch 1.1 has an installer with the patch and you need to install the game with this installer. Otherwise the game will not work and crashes all the time. Patch 2 is to correct corrupt save games, and patch 3 fixes all the other problems. Try them and see what happens. The game is quite good if you have the patience and the spells graphics are excellent.

No problem...One word of advice, have a cleric in your party, it's esential. You don't need a sorceror to start off with as you will get one later on, not too long a wait.

Thank you @Bunny I now have the game installed and ready to go - after running Patch 1.1 before installation. This time I managed not to corrupt my registry files or lose my operating system.
