Well It's Over!

:D I just killed Sarevok and finished the game. It took 3 months, playing an average of 3-4 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I don't know when I've enjoyed anything as much as I enjoyed playing this game. I was a little disappointed that the game does not give you a chance to talk to your party after the final battle. In fact, I'm not sure if all of my party made it through the battle. I could tell that my NPC, Minsc and Coran still had a little life left, but could not tell about the others before the closing started.

I know you guys will probably laugh, and think I'm silly, but when it was over, I felt a loss knowing that my party, that I spent some much time with and saw every day, was gone.

I'm going to be heading over to the BG2 forum to see if I can get some help with loading the game and getting started. I just hope they are as friendly as you guys.

Before I go, let me say what a great group of guys/girls all of you have been. Could not have gotten through the game with out all your help. You made me feel at home, didn't talk down to me because I was a newbee, and someone was always there with an answer.

I'm going to miss all of you and this forum. But I'll be back after I finish BG2, because I've just got to play this game again

THANK all of you so very, very much

Sonny

Congratulations on beating the game! I'm truly happy for you.

If you're talking about the Baldur's Gate II forum here, on GameBanshee, then it will be the same group of people there and we're more than glad to help.

See you in the BG2 forum. ;)

Congratulations!

Who was in your final party?

You will see the same people in the BG2 and TOB forums that you've seen in the BG1 forum. I was wondering when you'd be heading over there. :) I'm sure I'll have a few suggestions when you're ready to start BG2.

Well I'm glad to hear that. I was hoping that some of you guys would be there because I've got a bunch of questions to start off with and I could use the support.lol

My final party was : My NPC Fighter, Minsc, Coran, Imoen, Branwen, and Dynaheir. Everyone was at their top level.

I'm not sure about exporting my character, because if you remember I did not have the right stats to duel class him, so I don't want to make that mistake again.

I'm going to post in the BG2 forum later today, I guess the Shadows of Amn forum is where to start. Most of my questions are going to be about loading the game, i.e. which disk 1st, which patches, etc.

You do realise there are a ton of methods to fix that, right? Either you can create tomes via CLUAConsole or you change the stats in Shadowkeeper (or Gatekeeper if you play normal Baldur's Gate). No need to ditch your character.

Good luck with BG2. Watch out for Mindflayers and Beholders, they're nasty. ;)

No, my friend. That does not sound silly. I was also saddened when the game was over but you really shoulf carry your character into BG2 and Throne of Bhaal. You will really feel saddened when that is all over...

Congrats!

Yes, nothing silly about it. BG1's a fun game, and one of the few that gives you a real sense of knowing the characters in your party. Wait until you try BG2, now, with far more party interactions. And be sure to check out the mods, as well.

I felt that when I finished Throne of Bhaal, leaving the party I formed all the way back in BG1.
So, now you're off to BG2. I envy you, there's nothing like playing this game for the first time.
