Hi all,
I got this game yesterday. Didnt have much time to givin a good run for its money. But so far its been a good first impression... but Ohh boy I hate level 1. Reminds me of BG1, every battle was 50/50. Ohh well, gotta start somewhere.

Since im at work and on my break I thought I would fire off some newbie questions.

1. The formation button?, how does that work. When I press it, its make alittle white flare and thats it.

2. Wich classes can dual wield. I thought Rangers got it at the start?.. and at wich level.

3. I was skimming the hots keys and didnt see any quick save funtion, have anyone found one?.

4. How does weapons work in 3rd. edition. Can a fx fighter wield anything? and be equal as good with it?

#1 The formation button locks your party in the current marching order, so if you don't like the way they move just reposition them and hit the button. #2,4 This game uses 3rd edition rules so there is no dual weilding, and what weapons you can use depends on your class, there are simple(everybody), ranged(slings, shortbows for thieves, longbows for fighter types) and martial(bigger 2 handed weapons and such for fighter types)

The 3E rules allow dual-weilding, and rangers get to do it automatically. However, in the ROMD rush to production, dual-weilding got left out, making rangers the weakest of fighter classes.

In the PnP D&D3, you just have to take the ambidexterity feat and dual-weilding skill, but in the game you're SOL.
