Hey,
I started to play this game after downloading new updates. I have played it before w/ no problem but decided to start over w/ a new char. Now there appears to be no Botheil on the arcane grounds! I don't know what to do. I was told to uninstall all the update and try again. That seems harsh and think that would affect my char adversely.
Any ideas, has anyone else experienced this?

First off, please don't double post on purpose. Your thread titles and posts are clearly different from one thread to the other.

As for uninstalling and reinstalling, this will not affect your character. If your character files remain in the same place as the install (usually C:\My Documents\Oblivion) then you should easily be able to use the same character when reinstalling the game.

Well then there's nothing you can do. You can't even reinstall the game, as that's now how it works.

I was told by the tech support at Bethesda software to restart game and hold down the A button so as to remove updates. It deleted my saved games and the updates so I guess I'll be starting over
