Hey Everyone,
I'm having some trouble finding those books on the pedestals, i'm wearing that veil and all i see (that ive already seen before i put it on) are those secret doors that i cant seem to open, when i bash them as soon as they are bashed they just become a non active object and i cant get through them, ive seen in other posts that when you get rid of the githyanki you have some archivist to talk to, well i cant seem to find anyone, i dont see any book on those pedestals and i was wondering if it may be a bug or something. btw i have mask of the betrayer.

Well, it sounds like something funky is going on. Is it your active character who is wearing the veil?

The moment you walk in, someone would have already approached you to give you the information you need. Just walk in... he will come running to you from a door.
Like what swcarter said, you must have the veil on your main character.
Be careful though, get rid of all the baddies before you do. The veil drops your AC.
The viel reveals the secret doors. Bring Neeshka along. She helps with the traps and locks. The secret doors are not necessary for the advancement of story. Those are just good loots.
What you really need are some of the books. If you have a high LORE skill, I think you only need one of the books. The veil allows you to engage the 4 puzzles in order to access the centre room.
The books are scattered all over. So it may take some time to find them. Personally, I find the stories amusing and nonsense at the same time.

I have the same problem.
I put the viel on but nothing happenes. doors do not disappear and pedestals are not active no matter what I do
.
btw. I have all the 5 books you can find in Archives.
what more I can do?

I just patched the game, and this problem was solved... Try it...

what version did you patched it to?
I have MotB 1.10

The most recent version is 1.010.1116. If you've used the auto-updater, then that's where you should be. If you've only installed MOTB, then you should run the auto-updater because there have been a couple of minor patches since the expansion pack came out.

You may have to uninstall, reinstall, and repatch. Remember to save your saved games. Check out this thread on the bioware forums for more info:
